Orange oxidized
I used to love this sunscreen until some friends kindly told me there was an odd orange color on my face; after much experiments, I finally was able to nail it down to this sunscreen, all you need to do is put some product on a surface and you will see the color turned orange after couple hours, I also did the same test using UV physical elta md which never changed color even after a day.
Great Mineral Sunscreen That Smooths Uneven Skin Tone
This product is great. I love that it doesn’t make my face oily, doesn’t transfer, and it does a great job with providing enough tint to help even skin tone. I also like that it very subtly makes my face tone a tiny bit tanner because usually my face is lighter than the rest of my body and this really helps. I see some reviews that say this product is too orange, but I haven’t felt that way when using this product. I’m sure the others who are saying they have issues with it being too orangey probably have a much fairer skin tone and need to go with a lighter or more sheer product.

Nice consistency, spreads decently but on me turns more orange. No sunburn though!

I was looking for a mineral tinted sunscreen after finishing the drmtlgy tinted moisturizer with spf. This one is a bit thicker and dries down pretty matte. The color is what I didn’t like so much. I have pretty light skin, and this gave me the look of an odd, slightly orange tan. I’m also someone who reapplies at least once per day, and two layers of this sunscreen is similar to a light-coverage foundation(which I dislike because I like a very natural makeup look.) All in all, I will either try the eltaMD chemical/mineral sunscreen next, or likely go back to the drmtlgy.
Didn't Work For Me
Given the reviews and recommendation from a dermatologist of color, I thought my search for a sunscreen for Black skin (at least mine) had come to an end. Not. I wanted to love this product but it did not work for me. It left an ashy cast and my skin felt dry and tight. Due to SkinStore's return policy I am unable to return/exchange it for something else. My suggestion is to try this out in-person, somewhere before purchasing it online and getting stuck with a product that might not work for you.
Best Kept Secret
I'm so confused. In 47 years, I don't think I've ever had any beauty, skin, sunscreen, etc. product go so far as to change my life, I always see, hear, and read how great the Elta MD range is- but this specific product in the range never gets any love and it's THE BEST. The ingredient list solidly covers you UVA and UVB wise, and while I don't look to my sunscreen to do anything other than block the rays, this guy is also chock full of anti-aging ingredients. It's tinted and in the best way possible. It goes on like a lotion and immediately absorbs, but what's wild is how fast it adjusts to your face color. It makes my face look better than any foundation I own- from drugstore to high-end- to luxury. Even for a night out, I'd wear this as my foundation. This product has changed my game. I'm seriously shocked it doesn't have hundreds of five star reviews. My guess is people haven't tried it, and are using the one (I forget its name) that gets talked about most. Try this. The price is right. It looks so natural. I can't say enough good things about it.

This is one of my favorite sunscreens. The tint is perfect for my light skin, it does not leave a white cast at all. I will continue to purchase this one.
